Our Lady of Loreto Mobile Atrium
About Us
Our Lady of Loreto Mobile Atrium was started, like many beautiful things, out of a need for more space. The community at Christendom Academy acquired the bus and equipped it as an atrium to allow for more room in the school building. The beauty of this option allows for future expansion of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in the wider Omaha community.
Our fearless kindergarten teacher graciously volunteered to figure out how to make it work. She is constantly improving the bus and did an exceptional job with this uncharted path. The two pioneer catechists helped with incredible feedback, patience, and grace through the first year of the bus's operation. Our Lady of Loreto is ready to be scheduled for the 2023/2024 school year with more developments to come!

FAQs

The Our Lady of Loreto Mobile Atrium is a ministry that brings the beauty and wonder of religious formation to children and adults in places without the available or dedicated space for an atrium. We believe that all people have a right to experience the joy of learning about their faith, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status.
Our mobile atrium is a fully equipped Level 1 and 2 CGS Atrium that travels to churches, schools, and other community centers. It is staffed by trained catechists who use the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd method to facilitate people's spiritual development. This method is based on the belief that people are naturally curious and eager to learn about their faith, and that they learn best through hands-on, experiential activities.
The Our Lady of Loreto Mobile Atrium is a valuable resource for people who do not have access to traditional atrium space. It provides them with a safe and supportive environment in which to explore their faith, and it helps them to develop a deeper understanding of the Catholic Church.
We believe that the Our Lady of Loreto Mobile Atrium is a vital ministry that is multiplying the faith in the hearts of children all over Omaha. We are committed to continuing this work, and we invite you to join us in our mission.
